  • Half tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese

INGREDIENT NOTES:

CHEDDAR CHEESE:

  • Cheddar cheese gives it a smooth and sharp taste. You can use Gouda or mozzarella, which can be substituted.

OLIVE OIL:

  • Extra virgin oil provides a robust taste and beneficial fats, along with certain carbs. I substitute avocado oil, which is a wonderful flavorless option.

POBLANO PEPPERS:

  • Poblano peppers provide a spicy taste and a smoky flavor. You can swap it with green bell peppers, anaheim peppers, or jalapeños.

SOUR CREAM:

  • Sour cream gives this meal a tangy and creamy flavor. Greek yogurt isn’t keto, so don’t use it. We can substitute heavy cream with a tiny amount of lemon juice.

MOZZARELLA CHEESE:

  • This cheese gives these tacos an elastic texture. To make a non-dairy version of this meal, you can use either vegan or high-fat mozzarella.
