Tuna Cake

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil 2tbsp
  • Diced Onion 1/4 Cup
  • Diced Celery 2tbsps
  • Chopped Garlic Cloves 2
  • Large Eggs 2
  • Cans of tuna 3
  • Panko Breadcrumbs 1/2cup
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese 1/4Cup
  • Light Mayonnaise 2tbsp
  • Lemon Juice 1tbsp
  • Dried Parsley 1tsp
  • Salt 1/4tsp
  • Black Pepper 1/4tsp
  • Dried Dill 1/8tsp

Instructions

  1. Mist the nonstick pan with olive. Warm it over a medium heat.
  2. Next, add diced onion and celery to this warm oil.
  3. Cook it for 3-4 minutes until the onions and celery are translucent.
  4. Now, add chopped garlic to this mixture. Sautee it for 2-4 minutes.
  5. After that, switch off the burner and set aside the pan.
  6. Add beaten eggs, saute onion, and garlic paste, half a cup of the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese,
  7. lemon juice, black pepper, salt, parsley, mayonnaise, canned tuna, and dill into a mixing bowl.
  8. Mix all ingredients until a smooth and uniform texture is achieved.
  9. Add the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs to another bowl. Combine it well and set aside this bowl.
  10. Now, take the tuna mixture and spread it to a clean place.
  11. Shape the tuna mixture into patties. Make 10-12 patties.
  12. Dip the patties into the breadcrumb mixture. Press it gently so the mixture sticks to the patties.
  • Stovetop
  1. Grease the pan with olive oil. Warm this pan over a medium flame.
  2. When oil is heated, add patties to this pan.
  3. For 3-5 minutes cook each side of the patties until its color is golden brown.
  4. Follow the same procedure to cook leftover patties.
  5. The tasty Tuna cake is ready to eat.
  • Air fryer
  1. Take the air fryer and adjust its temperature to 390 degrees.
  2. Lightly coat the air fryer with olive oil.
  3. One by one add tuna patties to the air fryer.
  4. Cook it for 4-6 minutes until it is fully cooked.
  5. Flip each side of the patties after 4 minutes.
  6. Enjoy the delicious Tuna Cake with tartar dip, and lemon slices.

Oven

  1. Switch on the oven and heat it to 400 degrees.
  2. Meanwhile, spread a few drops of olive oil on the baking tray.
  3. Shift Tuna Patties to this tray.
  4. Bake it for 6-10 minutes until it’s crispy and light brown.
  5. Serve it with any dip.
