INGREDIENT NOTES:
TORTILLAS:
- Find the wraps that must be low in calories/have low Weight Watchers points. They should be around 2 smart points.
PICKLES:
- The classic flavor of Big Mac Wraps will be achieved by using dill pickles. That’s why we have used it here. As the pickles of butter & bread will be high in sugar.
BEEF:
- We have to use the ground version of beef. To keep the points low, use at least 93% or more of lean beef. Ground turkey meat will give you the more leaner option. If you want to make it for a vegan, use plant-based crumbles.
SAUCE:
- We make the sauce using the ketchup & mayonnaise, which should be sugar-free & fat-free, respectively. For vegans, use the vegan alternatives.
CHEESE:
- Here, we are using the cheddar cheese, which must be low in fat to keep the WW points low. Use plant-based cheese if you are vegan.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Include relish, light mayo, powdered onion & garlic, ketchup(sugar-free), vinegar, and mustard in a little bowl.
- Combine all of them well using a whisk & keep the sauce in a corner.
- Place a skillet(non-stick) over a normal flame.
- Include the ground beef & onions(chopped) in the heated skillet.
- Stir continuously till the beef changes color.
- Cook them till the onions become tender & the beef starts to brown.
- Then add the spices like salt, powdered garlic & pepper(black).
- Mix & cook for a while, then turn the flame off.
- The tortillas must be slightly warmed up.
- Place the warmed-up wraps on your working surface.
- Spread the sauce(big mac), lettuce(shredded), cheddar cheese(grated), pickles, & beef mixture(cooked).
- Fold it as you want, like burrito-style or flat wrap.
- Your Weight Watchers Big Mac Wrap is ready to serve!
TIPS:
- To have each item in every bite, chop the veggies very finely so that they properly distribute in the whole wrap.
- Must warm the tortillas right before assembling. Otherwise, they will tear when you fold them up.
- Use a minimum of 93 percent of lean meat or more to keep your WW points in budget.
STORAGE DETAILS:
NOTE: The sauce & lettuce are sensitive to freezing. Therefore, we don’t suggest freezing the wraps.
REFRIGERATION:
- Take two containers(air-tight) & pack the cooked meat & sauce in them respectively. Assemble them any time & enjoy while refrigerating them for around four days.
- Wraps should be assembled fresh to enjoy them more. If you have any leftover wraps, pack them properly using the foil & cling wrap. Consume it within twenty-four hours.
FAQs:
What may be the other options to replace the tortillas?
- Lettuce leaves, collard greens, or low-carb pita might be the best swaps for the tortilla.
Can I convert this dish into the veg version?
- Absolutely! Swap the ketchup, mayonnaise, & cheese to their vegan alternatives. Plant-based crumble/lentils will serve as the vegan protein option. This way, your WW dish can be converted into its vegan version.
Are these wraps meal prep-friendly?
- Yes! Cook the beef meat & prepare the sauce earlier. Assemble the wraps quickly using the fresh tortilla & lettuce at the time of serving.
