INGREDIENTS:
- Half a pound of thinly sliced lean beef
- One little onion, cut thinly
- 1/2 of a red bell pepper
- One teaspoon of olive oil
- A half-tsp of garlic powder
- Half a green bell pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered onion
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Four slices of reduced-fat mozzarella/provolone cheese
- Eight egg roll wrappers, preferably low-fat
- Two tablespoons of water, cooking spray.

Beef:
- Select reduced cuts such as sirloin or deli low-sodium roast beef. Cut into thin slices to allow shorter cooking time with softer notes.
Peppers and onions:
- Sauteed Onions & peppers are used to give a classic cheesesteak taste. Take green and red to represent color & sweetness.
Cheese:
- A creamy melt is achieved using the reduced-fat provolone. Or Mozzarella or WW-friendly shredded mix.
Eggroll Wrappers:
- Use the egg-roll wrappers that are bought at stores. Select low-fat or whole wheat, in case of their availability.
Seasoning:
- Additional flavouring is done with the help of garlic and onion powder. It is rounded off with salt and pepper.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Heat up the oven to 400°F. Warm the oil from the olives in a pan.
- Next, add the onions & peppers.
- Sauté till tender, about five minutes.
- Add the beef slices, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Bake it for the next 2 to 3 minutes.
- Take off the flame.
- Allow the mixture to cool a little.
- On a spotless surface, place one eggroll wrapper.
- Put 1/8 of the mixture of beef and vegetables in the middle.
- Add a half-torn piece of cheese on top.
- Fold the sides in. Tightly roll like a burrito.
- Seal the edges with water.
- Continue with the remaining wrappers.
- Use cooking spray to lightly spritz the rolls.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping during the process.
- Additionally, air fry for 10 to 12 minutes at 375°F till brown.
- Give it two minutes to cool before serving.
TIPS:
- Serve with mustard, low-fat yogurt dip/hot sauce.
- To make wrappers even crisper, brush them with the egg wash.
- Avoid filling the rolls too much. It may render them to weep.
- Store uncooked rolls in the freezer, then use them later.
- As an alternative, substitute chicken or use mushrooms instead.
