INGREDIENT NOTES

CHICKEN OR TURKEY

  • You will need ninety-nine percent fat-free turkey or chicken meat in its ground form. CHICKEN BROTH
The use of low-sodium chicken broth works best. It gives access to salt adjustment in your control. You may choose vegetable broth for the vegan version.

PASTA

  • This delicious dish uses fiber-rich whole wheat pasta. If you want to lower the points further, swap this whole wheat pasta with zucchini noodles, shirataki noodles, or chickpea pasta.

PARMESAN CHEESE

  • It is a delicious choice, but may raise points. So you can replace it with nutritional yeast, which can lower the WW points and make it suitable for vegans as well.

VEGETABLES

  • We are using the onions, tomatoes, red, and yellow bell peppers. These veggies add crunch, nutrients, and color while keeping the points lower. Add the mushrooms, spinach, or zucchini to add volume without increasing points.

WINE

  • We are adding the dry white wine to sharpen the taste of the sauce. It gives them the name of “Drunken”. If you want to go alcohol-free, use extra broth with lemon juice.

TIPS

  • You can also add the baby spinach or zucchini just a few minutes before turning the flame off.
  • Never overcook the pasta; otherwise, it will get squishy and lose its structure.
  • You can cook the meat and sauce before. Boil the pasta fresh, mix it, and warm it up to serve.
  • Evaporating the alcohol is necessary if you are using the wine because we only need flavor.
