INGREDIENT NOTES:

Cinnamon rolls:

  • To save on the Smart Point you can use light canned cinnamon rolls or reduced-fat rolls. Slice them to four tiny parts in order that they will blend well together and be baked evenly.

Apples:

  • Use firm sour apples like Granny Smith or Honey crisp apples which are semi sweet. Chop them in small pieces and peel them and dice them till they are soft in a short time so that they can be able to mix well with the rolls.

Brown sugar:

  • Reduction of points. We could also replace brown sugar with another type of sugar like monk fruit or erythritol or stevia combination. It is also a replacement of calories to sweetness.

Applesauce:

  • Fresh rejected applesauce will introduce wetness and the sweet-savor of Mother Nature. It also replaces oil or butter to make sure the recipe is light.

Milk:

  • Fat-free milk or unsweetened almond milk as well makes the bake soft and allows to stay creamy, yet it does not add extra fat.

Icing:

  • To save sugar and points use a light drizzle, or leave out the icing provided. It has not lost the light glaze that adds to the flavor but not in excess.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).

  10. Take out and let cool a little.
  11. If using, drizzle icing over the top. Warm up while you serve.
