The flouur of coconut is specialized in absorbing the excess moisture if any while flour of almond work as a keto base of dough.

BUTTER:

  • The recipe will require the unsalted version of melted butter to make the dough rich & flavorful.

CHAYOTE SQUASH:

  • It is the extremely low-carb substitute that closely resembles the taste & texture of apples. You need to peel & deseed them first then make six wdges out of each small-sized chayote squash. Then parboiled these wedges.

ESSENCE OF APPLES:

  • Although chayote squaash can mimic the apples but using the essence of apple along will make the feel of apple presence more strong without using apples even.

KETO SWEETENER:

  • As regular white sugar can spike up our carb content, We are using here the keto sweetener, erythritol. Granular erythritol work in the dough while sauce will require the powdered version of sweetener.
