EQUIPMENT:

  • Ice-cube tray
  • A jar for storage
  • Saucepan 1

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic (fresh)
  • Juice of a medium-sized lemon
  • 1/4th teaspoon of powdered peppercorns
  • Melted butter, 3 tbsp.
  • One-fourth teaspoon of salt
  • A tablespoon of chopped parsley (fresh)

INGREDIENT NOTES:

JUICE OF LEMON:
It is always better to squeeze the juice of a fresh lemon & use it. If you haven’t gotten lemons (fresh) then the juice of bottled ones will also work. Only make sure the lemon juice doesn’t contain water or the sauce will not combine well.

GARLIC:
As we all know fresh garlic gives a stronger taste. So, we use minced garlic cloves (fresh & big). While using fresh garlic, take care that it should not burn. For this include the minced garlic at the end or use powder of garlic instead.

PARSLEY:
Green fresh parsley gives a very energetic presentation to our sauce. Never use dry herbs instead.

BUTTER:
It is up to you that you may use salted butter or unsalted one. Set the amount of salt according to your taste.

IDEAS TO CREATE A VARIETY:

If you want to have a twist in your lemon butter sauce, you may follow these ideas
CREAMY:
If you wish to have a creamy sauce then include a small amount of cream (heavy) at the end & mix well.

CAPERS:
Add a tablespoon or two of capers at the end of cooking the sauce. It gives a salty touch to our sauce that we get when we mix the sea & fresh water.

DILL:
We have added parsley to the sauce already. But adding more greens gives the sauce more life. Include the chopped dill in the sauce right before serving.

TIPS:

Never cook on high flame & use the bottled juice of lemon. As these both actions will cause the sauce to separate.
Use a little cream (heavy) or cheese (parmesan) to make our sauce extra creamy.
If you want your soup to be smooth, then use powdered garlic or minced fresh garlic very well.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

We only need a tablespoon or two of this sauce. So, you need to save the sauce.

FRIDGE:

Use the fridge to store the sauce in a jar sealed with a lid for 5 or 6 days.

FREEZER:
Transfer the sauce to the tray of ice cubes. It will be convenient to use as you can only take the number of cubes that you need & melt in the microwave to use it.
