Ingredient Notes
Yogurt:
- This dip pairs beautifully with fat-free yogurt. It also keeps the amount of calories and fat constant.
Milk:
- We used low-fat milk including almond milk.
Herbs:
- You can use fresh and chopped herbs, but I used dried ones.
Garlic Powder:
- Garlic enhances flavor intensity. The flavor of store-bought powder and homemade will be slightly different.
Onion Powder:
- Preferable to use onion powder. You can prepare the onion powder at home but it takes a lot of time.
Salt and black pepper:
- Used to balance the dip flavor.
Instructions
- Take a clean and small mixing bowl.
- Next, add non-fat plain Greek yogurt, dried chives, parsley, onion powder, paprika, dill weed, sea salt, and garlic powder to the bowl.
- Mix all items with the help of a spoon.
- After that, add two tablespoons of milk.
- Whisk so all items combine well.
- Add more milk if desired after whisking. The ranch dip is ready.
- Refrigerate the Weight Watchers Ranch Dip for forty minutes to one hour to chill.
Variations of Ranch Dip
Sour Cream:
- It is used as an alternative to Greek yogurt. This item will change the nutritional values and calories. The Weight Watchers points will also be increased.
Cottage Cheese:
- We used low-fat cheese. It works well as a high-protein alternative.
Serving Ideas
- We serve this dip with Weight Watchers-friendly and low-calorie side dishes including baked potato chips, pizza, air-fried chicken wings, grilled whole chicken, air-fried French fries, and low-point crackers.
- Enjoy with fresh roasted/grilled vegetables such as celery stalks, cauliflower, radish, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, snap peas, sliced cucumbers, broccoli, and carrots.
- You can enjoy it with the main dinner or lunch cuisines like buffalo chicken meatballs, skinny cobb salad, BBQ Chicken salad, chicken nuggets, wonton cups, and buffalo chicken folded wraps.
Tips
- Use only low-fat sour cream and yogurt to reduce the amount of fat and calories.
- Add dried herbs rather than fresh ones to increase the herb’s life span.
- Try this dip with different and Weight Watchers-friendly cheese like parmesan or cheddar cheese.
- Add a tiny amount of red chili pepper flakes, or paprika for hot flavor.
Storage Information
Fridge:
- Pack the dip in the air-tight closed jar and refrigerate it for ten to fifteen days.
Freezer:
- We can’t freeze this ranch dip because yogurt and milk are used. Freezing will change the dip’s flavor as well as its consistency.
