INGREDIENT NOTES:

LEAN GROUND CHICKEN:

  • It makes the main smash-burger filling in the recipe. Ground chicken is lighter and makes the dish taste juicy. Utilize ground turkey as a replacement for better results.

MINI TACO SHELLS:

  • They keep the tacos small and easy to eat. These shells are softer and flexible to fold. You may use small tortillas as another choice.

REDUCED-FAT CHEDDAR CHEESE:

  • It gives a classic sharp cheese taste that works well with the burger-style filling. You may use regular mozzarella as a substitute.

CAJUN SEASONING:

  • This seasoning gives garlic, herbs, pepper, and mild spice to the sauce. You may use a mixture of paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder as another idea.

LIGHT MAYONNAISE:

  • It makes the creamy base of the taco sauce and light sauce. You may use Greek yogurt for a tangier sauce in the recipe.
