INGREDIENT NOTES:
CHICKEN BREAST:
- We use it as the main source of protein, and it works well for light recipes. You may use chicken thighs as a substitute, but the calories and points will increase.
OLIVE OIL:
- It makes the recipe lighter and coats the breadcrumbs well. You may use cooking spray as another option.
PANKO BREADCRUMBS:
- They make the light and crunchy coating of the chicken. Breadcrumbs make the texture light and crispy. You may use whole-wheat breadcrumbs as an alternative.
PARMESAN CHEESE:
- It gives a classic savory taste to the Caesar dressing. Parmesan cheese gives a strong taste to the burgers. You may use pecorino romano as per your choice.
WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE:
- We use this sauce to make the dressing savory. You may use low-sodium soy sauce as another idea.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First, slice the chicken breast horizontally and make four thin pieces.
- Coat the pieces with salt, garlic powder, pepper, and paprika evenly.
- Put flour in one shallow bowl and beaten egg in a separate bowl.
- Mix panko breadcrumbs with parsley in the third bowl.
- Dip the chicken pieces in the flour, in the beaten egg, then in the panko mixture.
- Lightly brush olive oil on the coated chicken and air fry it for 14 minutes at 400°F.
- Mix Worcestershire sauce, Parmesan, Greek yogurt, light mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, and black pepper in the bowl.
- Now mix melted light butter with dried parsley and use it to brush the cut sides of the buns.
- Sprinkle Parmesan & toast it in the skillet and spread Caesar dressing in the bottom bun.
