INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

INGREDIENT NOTES:

PICKLE SLICES:

  • Pickle slices are the main item of this snack. It will add a tangy and briny flavor. Drain and dry them properly so they don’t get soggy or dry. It is best to use the dill pickles for this snack.

FLOUR:

  • Use the all-purpose flour to make the dry coating layer so it absorbs better. It also helps to stick the egg mixture properly on the pickles and make them crisp.

EGGS:

  • It is used to bind the flour and breadcrumbs together. Eggs help the coating to be firm at the time of frying. Beat them well to provide a smooth layer.

BUTTERMILK:

  • It is used to make the tender coating. It also helps to improve the bond and boosts the crisp texture. Dilute the yogurt with water to use it as a substitute.

BREAD CRUMBS:

  • It will help coat these pickles to make them crunchy. Use the panko crumbs to provide a light taste and crisp texture. They get toasted well in the air fryer, so they get crisp.

PARMESAN CHEESE:

  • It is used to provide the umami and indulgent flavor, and also enriches the crisp taste. It is not necessary to have this cheese, but it will provide an indulgent flavor.

GARLIC POWDER:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Drain the pickles and dry them well to eliminate the extra moisture.
  2. Add the flour, egg & buttermilk mixture, and breadcrumbs in the separate vessel.
  3. Coat these pickle slices in them, put them in the basket, and spray the oil on them.
  4. Air fry them for 8 to 10 minutes at 200°C
  5. Serve them.
