These Keto Savory Cheese Balls are delicious. The almond flour dough is filled with cheese, bacon, and jalapenos and the balls are formed which turn into crispy, cheesy, & crunchy balls. These savory cheese balls are prepared very quickly and it only takes 25 minutes to make them. These balls are very indulgent and cheesy it is liked by everyone in the event or the family. We can easily serve these cheese balls as an appetizer at any event or party. This recipe of Keto Savory Cheese Balls is not dairy-free but it is completely grain–free & gluten-free as well because of the usage of almond flour in place of whole wheat flour. INGREDIENTS:

FOR DOUGH:

  • 1 & ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • One cup of almond flour
  • 1 egg

CHEESE FILLING:

  • Two mozzarella cheese sticks
  • Quarter cup bacon bits
  • 1 freshly chopped jalapenos
  • Freshly chopped chives to garnish

INGREDIENTS NOTES:

MOZZARELLA CHEESE:

  • We use mozzarella use to get the perfect melt and a nice texture we should shred the mozzarella by ourselves to avoid the anti-caking agents.

CREAM CHEESE:

  • I use full-fat cream cheese to make the creamy and indulgent dough; we should use ambient-temperature cream cheese so that it can mix with the dough easily.

ALMOND FLOUR:

  • I use almond flour in place of whole wheat flour to make these cheese balls completely keto-friendly, it should be finely blanched to get the smooth texture of the balls.

EGG:

  • I use an egg to make the dough; it can help to bind the ingredients properly.

MOZZARELLA CHEESE STICK:

  • I use mozzarella cheese sticks to make these cheese balls so that they can melt well in them.

BACON BITS:

  • I use pre-crisp bacon to make these cheese balls but you can also crisp your bacon as well.

JALAPENOS:

  • I use chopped jalapenos to make them spicy; we can also remove the seeds to make them less spicy or skip them at all.

CHIVES:

  • I garnish my cheese bombs with freshly cut chives.

INSTRUCTION:

TO MAKE THE DOUGH:

  1. Take a microwave-safe bowl and add the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese to it.
  2. Then microwave the bowl for 35 to 40 seconds or till they melt and soft mix them properly.
  3. Add the almond flour & eggs in the bowl with the cheese and form the dough with your hands or with the spatula to form the smooth dough.

PREPARE THE FILLING:

  1. Take a knife and cut the mozzarella sticks into small cubes.
  2. Then take a small portion of dough in the hand & smooth the dough in the palm and fill the cheese mixture in the dough.
  3. Make the balls by covering the dough with the filling and form the smooth balls without having any cracks in the dough otherwise, the filling gets split.
  4. Now repeat the process and form all the balls in same way.

BAKE & SERVE:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Apply the parchment paper to the baking sheet.
  3. Put these cheese balls on the baking sheet and bake them for twelve to fifteen minutes or till they get perfectly brown.
  4. When they get baked put them on the serving plate garnish them with the freshly chopped chives.
  5. Finally, serve the Keto Savory Cheese Balls  warm.

TIPS:

  1. I use and also recommend to all to use the full-fat mozzarella cheese to achieve the perfect melting and gooey properties to make these cheese balls.
  2. We can also adjust the consistency of the dough the way it seems dry so we can add some cream cheese or if it seems we can include more almond flour.

FRIDGE:

  • Place these savory cheese balls in the close box and store them for 3 days.

FREEZER:

  • Put the cheese balls in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze them then put them in the sealed bag or box and keep them for 1 to 2 months

What should I use in place of almond flour?

  • If you are allergic to almond flour or you don’t have almond flour you can also make these cheese balls with coconut flour (¼ cup of almond flour amount) sunflower seeds flour or flax seeds flour. They make great cheese balls, but it might modify the texture & taste of these cheese balls slightly.
