Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Tortilla 8
  • Cooked Ground Beef 1 Ib. You may add turkey chicken.
  • Refried beans 1can
  • Salsa jar 1
  • Low-fat Cheddar cheese, grated. You can add grated mozzarella and Colby jack cheese.
  • Green onions, chopped
  • Tomato, chopped
  • Low Sodium Taco seasoning 1oz

Instructions

  1. To bake taco pie, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Next, take a nonstick pan and add lean beef.
  3. Cook beef over medium heat until it burns. Add chopped onions, taco seasoning, refried beans, and salsa with the cooked beef.
  4. Mix all ingredients and simmer it for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Set aside this mixture.
  6. Add the first layer of cooked meat, followed by the second layer of taco seasoning mixture, the third layer of grated cheese, and the fourth layer of tortilla.
  7. Cover it with aluminium foil and bake it for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  8. Next, add extra cheese over the simple taco, and bake it extra 10-15 minutes.
  9. When the taco pie is ready, add sliced tomatoes and green onions for garnishing purposes.
  10. Serve simple and tasty tacos with homemade dips and sauces.

  • You can add black or green olives, pepperoni, and cheese as garnishing. It will change the dish’s taste.
