The Weight Watchers Lasagna is a delicious recipe, and it is satisfying for longer since it’s balanced with entire grains, wholesome veggies, and a manageable level of fat. It is really simple to prepare in your Instant Pot and uses ground turkey.
Tips for making a recipe:
After giving your pot a quick oil spray, fill the inner pot with half a cup of water.
Assemble your lasagna over the water. To avoid the dreaded Instant Pot, I’ve discovered that it helps to start with the meat and work your way down to the noodles.
Ingredients:
- Skim ricotta cheese: 1 cup.
- Oregano: 1 tbsp.
- Parsley: 1 tablespoon.
- Lasagna: 6
- Thyme: 1 tbsp.
- Ground turkey: 1 lb.
- Black pepper: 1 tsp.
- Crushed tomatoes: 28 oz.
- Wheat lasagna noodles: 6
- Italian cheese blend: 1 cup.
- Onion powder: 1 tbsp.
- Spinach leaves: 3 cups.
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine half a cup of Italian cheese and ricotta and set aside. Save the remaining cheese for the garnish. One cup of blended Italian cheese and one cup of skim ricotta cheese
- Combine the smashed tomatoes, garlic, onion powder, thyme, parsley, black pepper, and onion powder in a separate bowl.
- Crush the tomatoes, oregano, and thyme, then add the parsley, black pepper, and onion powder with freshly minced garlic.
- Apply sauce to the bottom of a 7-inch Instant Pot-safe pan.
- Next, break the noodles to fit in the pan and cover the sauce, if necessary. Lasagna noodles are made entirely of whole-wheat
- Layer the uncooked ground turkey, spinach, and cheese mixture on top.
- Continue this way with the other parts as well.
- One pound of fat-free ground turkey and three cups of spinach leaves and then place the reserved half cup of Italian cheese on top and securely and then cover the saucepan with aluminum foil.
- After setting a trivet in the Instant Pot insert’s bottom, pour in two cups of water.
- Place your lasagna carefully on top of the trivet.
- Choose “High-Pressure Cook” and give the cooking duration 35 minutes.
- After cooking, allow the pressure to relax for at least fifteen minutes.
- As rapidly as the pressure valve falls, remove the lid.
- Remove your lasagna from your Instant Pot with caution.
- Take off the foil covering the top. Keep the top brown by popping it under the broiler in the oven, but it’s not essential.
- Add some fresh basil over top and serve.
