- Dijon mustard is generally my favorite. Compared to yellow mustard, it is creamier and less sour. Yet, in this specific recipe, yellow mustard also functions.
- Cheddar that has been shredded: I prefer using sharp or extra-sharp cheddar. It significantly improves this dish’s flavor.

You can cook the chicken, onion, and 1-2 cups of uncooked riced cauliflower with the other ingredients to make this casserole a full meal. If you do, you might want to use a bit more olive oil.
Keto Cheeseburger Casserole
Ingredients
- Baking dish(olive oil spray)
- Olive oil, two tablespoons
- Extra lean ground beef, 2 lbs.
- 1 medium onion, diced finely (6 oz)
- ONE tsp. fine salt/two tsp. of kosher salt(Diamond Crystal)
- Black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
- 1 tablespoon freshly minced garlic
- Avocado oil, 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup plain ketchup
- a teaspoon of mustard
- split one and a half cups of strong cheddar (6 oz)
Instructions
- Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray some olive oil in a 2-quart baking dish.
- For about 2 minutes, heat the olive oil in a sizable skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and the meat.
- Sauté for approximately 5 minutes, breaking up the steak as you stir, until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
- Carefully drain the mixture and put it back in the skillet if there are liquids at the bottom.
- Add the garlic, black pepper, and kosher salt by stirring. Cook for another minute while stirring.
- Turn off the heat. Add the mustard, unsweetened ketchup, mayonnaise, and 1 cup of finely grated cheddar.
- Place the prepared baking dish on top of the mixture. Add some of the leftover cheese.
- FIFTEEN mins should be enough time to heat. Instead, if your baking dish is broiler-safe, broil the casserole 6 inches below the heat source (not directly below) for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
