Keto Chocolate Mousse Recipe:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered erythritol or any keto-friendly sweetener of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, shaved dark chocolate, raspberries

  1. Chill the mixing bowl and beaters: Place a mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to chill. This will help the cream whip up faster.
  2. Whip the heavy cream: Remove the chilled bowl and beaters from the refrigerator. Pour the heavy cream into the bowl and whip on high speed until it thickens and forms stiff peaks. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add sweetener and cocoa powder: Sprinkle the powdered erythritol (or your chosen keto sweetener) and unsweetened cocoa powder over the whipped cream. Add the vanilla extract as well. Gently fold the ingredients together using a spatula until well combined. Be careful not to overmix and deflate the whipped cream.
  4. Chill and set: Transfer the chocolate mousse mixture to serving bowls or glasses. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the mousse sets and becomes firm.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Once the mousse has set, it is ready to be enjoyed. You can serve it as is or add optional toppings such as a dollop of whipped cream, shaved dark chocolate, or fresh raspberries for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
